Madrid title bid blow with Sevilla draw

Real Madrid have missed the chance to go top of La Liga but they did manage to rescue a 2-2 draw with a goal deep into stoppage time against Sevilla.

Real twice trailed against Sevilla, needing an own-goal deep in stoppage time to earn a point at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium.

The result leaves Atletico Madrid top of the table and they will take the title for the first time since 2014 if they win their last three matches.

Atleti have 77 points, followed by Real Madrid and Barcelona on 75, with Sevilla fourth on 71.

Real, had they beaten Sevilla, would have the title in their hands, but now they need Atletico to slip up.
